The American Cancer Society
The
American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research,
education, advocacy, and service.
The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health agency
dedicated solely to the fight against ALS through research, patient and community
services, public education, and advocacy. The Association's affiliate network includes
chapters in communities throughout the nation.
The Wellness Community in the Cincinnati area offers people
with cancer and their loved ones, free of charge, the support and resources
they need to maintain a high quality of life and to cope with this life-threatening condition.
Programs include a variety of weekly support groups, stress management advice, children's programs,
classes in tai chi, yoga and nutrition. Support, health lifestyle (stress management) and wide-ranging
