The following organizations and associations are great resources either for information concerning a specific life-threatening medical condition, or for general questions you may have.        Lance Armstrong Foundation - At the Lance Armstrong Foundation, we unite people to fight cancer believing that                                                             unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything.        The American Cancer Society - The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health                                                       organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing                                                       cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education,                                                       advocacy, and service.      The ALS Association - The ALS Association is the only national not-for-profit health agency dedicated solely to the fight                                             against ALS through research, patient and community services, public education, and advocacy.                                             The Association's affiliate network includes chapters in communities throughout the nation.
